Aloha Alliance!
Today the Department of Health issued a press release announcing the finalization of its contract with BioTrackTHC.
This agreement will allow DOH to install the necessary tracking software to permit the dispensaries to begin growing medicine. According to DOH at the last Legislative Oversight Committee meeting, that installation work could take DOH between 2 and 4 weeks, or longer, before the dispensaries are actually able to begin growing. (We will know more at the next Legislative Oversight Committee meeting on December 14th when DOH provides us with the timetable for implementation they have arranged with BioTrackTHC.)
This was one of the last remaining hurdles for Hawaii’s dispensaries as they look to begin their operations. We are very excited to see them all up and running and producing quality medicine in 2017!
